The community of PS 11's thoughts are with those struck by the tragedy in Haiti.  If you're looking for ways to help read on: The Haitian government with the assistance of the international community is in the process of rescue and recovery, as well as assessing the damage and determining what will be needed to assist survivors and rebuild the country.  New Yorkers who want to help those in Haiti are encouraged to donate to the Mayor's Fund to Advance New York City.  Donations to this fund can be made safely and securely in the following ways:

The Mayor's Fund will direct contributions to reputable, well-established organizations such as the American Red Cross that are working on the scene.

2010 Kindergarten Enrollment
Students turning five (5) by Dec 31, 2010 are eligible for Kindergarten Enrollment.  Kindergarten Intake Forms are available at the school as of February 1st. Parents should complete and submit this form in person for Kindergarten admission. For more information contact Parent Coordinator, Stephen McGill at smcgill3@schools.nyc.gov

Family Fridays
Families are invited to join their child in his/her classroom from 8:50 - 9:35 am the last Friday of each month. Families will have the opportunity to work with their child in hands-on activities, attend publishing parties and much more. Please check the school online calendar or your child's homework folder for the 2009/10 scheduled dates.
